Each of these inspiration cakes are wrapped in pretty paper, and provide special insight into any question. When the recipient opens the cake there is a message inside that will offer guidance in response to the question.

The recipe for the cake is a cross between a bread and a cake, it is pleasant and spiced, and the traditional Norfolk recipe is about 200 years old. Originally they would have been eaten on November 1st the festival of Hollantide, which is topical to a wedding as Hollantide is a time that a full circle has been reached. With harvest being gathered, the same can be said for life, the wedding being the time of total independence from parents! When the cake was eaten we remembered our ancestors as without them we would not be here.

The cakes cost 75p each and a minimum order of 50 is required, but there is no upper limit. They keep for up to one week, so it is possible to send them on as a gift. There is a small delivery charge.
